McCloud Services’ Rob Heisner Named 2016 Commercial Technician of the Year in National Contest
McCloud Services technician out of Nashville, Tenn., recognized as one of the best in the pest management industry by Pest Control Technology magazine
South Elgin, Ill., January 4, 2017…McCloud Services announced Rob Heisner, service specialist from Nashville, Tenn. has been named the 2016 Commercial Technician of the Year by Pest Control Technology (PCT) magazine.
With over 100 nominations from pest control companies throughout the U.S., Heisner was selected as the standout professional in the commercial category. The annual PCT Technician of the Year Award is designed to honor the achievements of the pest control industry’s finest professionals. A panel of judges evaluate service technicians in several areas, including technical skills, customer relations, community service contributions, ongoing education and leadership and mentoring abilities.
“Rob is an exceptional service specialist, exhibiting all of the qualities customers look for when working with a service technician. His extensive background in the food industry, along with his unwavering commitment to food safety helps him develop strong relationships with our food industry customers. Heisner, a former food processing facility worker, joined McCloud Services in 2009. Growing up on a farm and working in a food processing plant allowed him to have an appreciation for how important pest management is to food safety. At McCloud Services, he puts his unique skill set and expertise to work every day servicing a variety of customers across the entire food supply chain including food processing facilities, food distribution centers, food packaging businesses, grocery stores and restaurants. When asked about his commitment to his customers, Singleton stated, “He becomes a member of the food plant team. The customer, as well as McCloud, are Rob’s employers. He knows the facility and the team members, and provides nothing but the best possible service for his two employers – the food plant and McCloud Services.”
Heisner believes in the importance of ongoing education and has completed a wide assortment of training programs including the McCloud Fumigation School, Purdue Correspondence Course, the Cardinal Fumigation Seminar, the Insects Limited Fumigation School Signature Care Certification through Copesan Services and the National Pest Management Association Food Plant Standards Certification. He shares his knowledge by assisting in training during monthly education sessions, as well as serving as a field trainer. He also serves on the McCloud Safety Committee and is involved in the company’s annual Pest Invasion Food Safety Seminar.
When he isn’t keeping food safe, Heisner enjoys spending time with his wife of 18 years and is in very involved in his local church. When asked about receiving this recognition, Heisner stated,
“I am very honored to receive this recognition. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way, for it would have been impossible to have reached this point on my own. Protecting the food supply chain for consumers is an important job that I take very seriously, and I take great pride in helping to reduce risk each and every day.”
